It was EEUU day at the Expo, and the real product being pushed at the EEUU booth (swathed in red, white, and blue) seemed to be our corn-syrup infused diet. Walking by, I noticed a crowd gathered around donuts (20 pesos), Old El Paso brand tacos, big bags of Tostitos, and a woman handing out instructions on how to apply for a travel visa. Around 5 o'clock a DJ played Michael Jackson songs and people tucked the freely dispensed paper US flags into the crook of their arm or stowed them in their purse.
