We ended up sleeping on the pier. Yes, on those wooden planks atop those stilts, with jellyfish swimming in the sea beneath. Why?! because it was so much cooler (breeze wise) than at the camping site, nevermind the sore back today. Plus side, we got to see cool displays of lighting. :o)
