This is the bottom of transect 116. That's a dying koa tree. Cattle roam free here, even though they're not supposed to. Then they poop in camp. When I left they were building a fence to keep them out. Then, hopefully this whole field will return to being a beautiful mamane-koa forest, and all the invasive grass you see before you will die a horrible horrible death.
