The monastery is on the south side of Mt. Kissavos, which is Mt. Olympus' first neighbor to the south. On the summit of Mt. Kissavos is a chapel of the Prophet Elias, built bunker-style into the mountaintop. On the feast day of the Prophet, the sisters and an increasing number of people from the area hike up there to have liturgy. (It's about a 45-minute drive from the monastery, then a 25-minute walk.)
