New Infared Experiments  -  The other day I bought a cheap camera at walgreens. After making sure that it picked up near IR (you can check by taking pictures of a remote control in operation) I tore it up and installed a filter I built that would eliminate everything other than near IR (though it is probably letting in a little visible light). I then took a few test photos. The camera automatically assigns a color value to these... so, though I don't believe in modifying an image (some people make 'IR' just by changing the colors), I put the resulting images on a black/white scale.
