Arkansas 2009 Some of these photos were actually taken at night, before there were any hints of dawn. If you set your camera for a slightly longer than normal exposure it will essentially absorb more light and give you a nice 'night' image... though this might seem like camera trickery it really isn't because your eye essentially works the same way. Though the coloring of the sky for long exposures is different than what you see with your eye at night, the basic coloring and shading of the land and plants is closer to what the eye sees than what the camera would normally record. Looking back, I think that I should have made far more night images than I did (though I also have many that I'm not going to post for a while).
