The Roof - Back and Vents
After two weeks of feeling like a mountain goat it was great to get to the 3/12 slope of the back porch. Note the columns ready to install - 2x8 construction - very heavy. The following week we took them all apart as they were not the right scale for the house. We ended up ripping down the lumber to be a finished 5-1/2" actual column - a much nicer scale for the house. By comparrison, installing doors and windows is easy!
